SEPE Certificados de Profesionalidad

Are you in Spanish territory?

Do you have a Spanish student residency card?

Is your Spanish student residency card going to expire at the end of the academic season in May or June?

Don't you have money to cover the cost of fee payment for registration in any course program of the next academic season?

Don't you have any job contract from any Spanish company to submit a work permit in "Extranjeria" and thus convert your student residency card to a Spanish residency card with a work permit?

Are you tired of business people who make false promises to provide you with a work contract, and you are working illegally for them free of cost or earning only 10 euros per day, hoping that they will submit an application with a work contract paper to "Extranjeria" on your behalf, only to find out it's a false promise in the end?

There are many other cases.

However, your intention is to find a way to renew your residency card, which allows you to stay in Spain.

One trick is to look for "Certificados de Profesionalidad".

"Certificados de Profesionalidad" translates to "Professional Certifications" or "Professional Qualifications" in English.

These certifications are awarded in Spain to individuals who demonstrate competency in specific professional skills or fields.

They are typically obtained through vocational training programs and are recognized nationally within Spain.

SEPE stands for "Servicio Público de Empleo Estatal" in Spanish, which translates to "State Public Employment Service" in English.

It is the government agency in Spain responsible for managing employment services, unemployment benefits, and labor market policies.

The SEPE provides various services to both job seekers and employers, including job placement assistance, training programs, and unemployment benefits administration.

You have to visit the office of SEPE or call them over the phone to know the available offers for obtaining a "Certificado de Profesionalidad".

Suppose you are good at managing kitchen works and want to become a chef in a restaurant. In this case, you have to look at how many courses related to cooking are offered by the SEPE.

Register for those courses. Depending on the available number of seats in the course and the number of candidates who want to register for the course, you may get admitted to one or a few.

Once you are admitted to the course, you can apply to Extranjeria to renew your residency card, showing the course admission papers.

SEPE provides courses mostly free of cost, but you can find some academies/agencies offering such courses for certification with fees. However, you have to consult Extranjeria to determine their suitability for renewing your residency card.

Your residency card will change from a Spanish student residency card to a Spanish residency card, and you will have 1 or 2 years to finish the course for certification and find a job.
