The European Commission has implemented a new visa system known as the "cascade" regime, tailored for Indian nationals applying for Schengen visas within India.
This initiative aims to streamline the visa process, particularly addressing the prolonged delays faced by Indian nationals during peak summer travel seasons.
To be eligible for the extended duration visas, applicants must demonstrate a consistent and compliant travel history.
Specifically, the European Commission may grant a two-year multiple-entry visa to individuals who have acquired and responsibly utilized two visas within the preceding three years.
